HOW TO MEASURE YOUR WINDOW
How to measure your window for the installation of a RainBlade
All RainBlade part numbers have a limited range of window sizes that they can accommodate. Check the product listing measurement diagram here that corresponds to each part number to ensure you purchase the correct size for the window you intend to install the product on.
Note that each number below corresponds to the diagram here for reference:
1. Measure your window from the outside edge of the window frame to the opposite outside edge of the window frame. This measurement must fall within the range of the product application specification. For example, if the edge-to-edge measurement of your window measures 15.00 inches then the appropriate part number for this window size is an RV1016. The RV1016 fits a window size range of 12.00 inches wide up to 17.00 inches wide.
2. You must consider the overall outside length of the part in addition to the inside length of the product for your window application. Check the installation area and determine if there are any constraints that may be located around the window area where the product will mount. Slide outs, door frames, exterior vents, exterior lighting, door handles or any other obstruction should be considered that may impede the installation of the product. The smaller the window size within the range of the product application the greater the distance from the edge of the window to the inside of the product will be when the product is installed.
3. This product is not adjustable in width. For example, part number RV1016 will fit a window width range of 12-17 inches. If your window measures 12.00 inches wide, then the product will extend past the window frame on each side by approximately 2.50 inches. The smaller the window the larger the distance will be between the outside edge of the window and the inside edge of the product. Refer to the product listing measurement diagram to confirm the product will fit within the area you intend to install it.
4. There must be approximately 1.0 inch of clearance between the top of the window frame and any obstruction that may impede the installation of the product.
5. Check the product listing measurement diagram for the overall length of the product. Divide the overall length of the product by two and measure from the center of the window to where the outside edge of the product will terminate to confirm there is no obstruction that may impede the installation of the product.
